How to Apply

Applicants collect required documentations and send to this office via any of trackable mailing services. When your visa has been approved, we mail the passport with the visa back to you right away.

Please note the Chinese Consulate in Houston issues visas for applicants from the following 8 States: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas; as well as Puerto Rico.

Therefore, we only accept visa applications from applicants with residence or company / business / school addresses in the above 8 States and Puerto Rico.

Student Visa (X)

Documents Required

1.

Valid Original passport with at least six months validity left and at least one blank visa page remaining.

2.

An approved Foreign Student Visa Application Form(JW101 or JW202) issued by the authorized Chinese unit, and a letter of acceptance from the Chinese school.

Visa Application Form: Download the fillable form here, complete and sign it.

4.

One recent passport type (2"x2") color photograph taken and printed by a professional.

Self-addressed stamped envelope: For security concern, trackable mail will be highly recommended (FedEx, UPS, Post Office Express Mail, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, or Certified Mail only).  If you choose to use USPS Regular Mail or Priority Mail without confirmation to send passport(s), we are not responsible for lost mail and lost passport(s).

Please note that applications for rush service must be received by 10:30AM. You must therefore use the morning delivery services of FedEx or UPS.  We are unable to accept personal check payments for rush service (same day) and express service (2nd day).

Processing Fee and Payment Method: We accept personal check, business check, cashier's check, money order or credit card payments for regular services. For rush service and express service, we do not accept personal check payments. Make check or money order payable to: Chinese Visa Office.

Credit Card payments: Please download and complete Credit Card Order Form.

Note: The (X) Visa is valid for one entry, three months and the duration of stay shown on the visa is 000 days. The holder of a (X) visa shall go through residential formalities in the local public security department within thirty days of entry into China.

Documents Required

1.

·        First time applicants who were previously Chinese citizens must submit their original Chinese passports.

·        American born children of Chinese descent must provide a copy of their birth certificate and a copy of one parent's passport or green card when applying the first time.

·        Applicants who were previously Chinese citizens and who changed their US passports must submit a copy of their old US passport and old Chinese visas..

A visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese unit and a work permit for aliens issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security or foreign expert's license issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R.C.

Crew Member Visa (C)

The c-visa is offered to crew members who plan to enter China by working purposes.

Documents Required

1.

An official letter from the airline you are employed for.

2.

A copy of your flight itinerary.
